2007 Community Seder
Tuesday, April 3

What a phenomenal event! Attendance at the Community Seder exceeded 160. Our Temple volunteers and staff helped extend a warm and welcome greeting to everyone who attended. The pre-set tables were flawlessly executed. The food and dessert were excellent, and would rival any restaurant's fare. From greeting our guests, to managing the water, wine, food service and just plain old Texas Friendly Smiles - Everyone at the Seder was made to feel welcome. The Volunteers, Temple Staff and Roger Ojeda working together in the kitchen and the Barshop, were once again the crowning touch of a successful event. Our Temple's Professional and Administrative staff stepped up and managed to make the evening feel like a special dinner in a home, our Temple home. A special note of appreciation to Greg Gonzalez, who coordinated the volunteers, Cindy Rowland for preparing dessert, Carl Brown, Nancy Gerson and Daniel Laser for spending his afternoon helping Roger Ojeda and family, to the Temple staff who set the room with the help of Nancy, Daniel, Barbara Moss, and the Schieber family, and of course to Rabbi Block whose wit and winning style kept the evening flowing. We are fortunate to have such an eloquent and entertaining Rabbi who shares such insightful glimpses to our heritage.
