Simchat Torah 2006
On Friday evening, October 13, 2006, the Wulfe Sanctuary of Temple Beth-El was filled with people of all ages. Rabbis Block and Stahl officiated with Dr. David vanAbbema, Hazzan. The Service for Atzeret-Simchat Torah included Consecration; the Rite of Three Generations with Trudy and Clyde Selig, Leslie Selig Byrd and Rick Byrd, Emily Byrd and Jordan Byrd; the complete unrolling and re-rolling of the Torah in the Temple aisles; Hakafot (Parade of the Torah Scrolls); and Dancing and Oneg outside the Temple on Belknap Place.
