Rabbi Allison Bergman Vann
Associate Rabbi

Rabbi Allison Bergman Vann joined the staff of Temple Beth-El in July of 1999, after ordination from the Cincinnati campus of Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion in June, 1999. A native of Easton, Pennsylvania, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993.

Rabbi Bergman Vann serves the Reform Jewish community nationally as a member of the Women's Rabbinic Network (WRN) board, serving as the Southwest Regional Representative. She also sits on the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR) Program Committee, which plans and oversees the Conference's yearly convention.

Locally, Rabbi Bergman Vann is a member of the Board of Trustees for United Communities of San Antonio. She also serves on the Clinical Pastoral Educational (CPE) Professional Advisory Group for Vitas Hospice.

Rabbi Bergman Vann is currently the only female rabbi serving a congregation in San Antonio.

She is married to Charles Vann, and the mother of one son, Isaac.
