Schematic Design Approved

The Temple Board of Trustees approved the schematic design for our renovations at its regular meeting held on December 5. The schematic design sets out the general layout of rooms and creates the “footprint” for our plans.

The next step is for our Project Architects, Marmon Mok, to complete the design drawing phase of the project. This is where the details of each room are created; the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing details are added; and the structural plans are made. As with all the aspects of our building process, this step will be closely supervised by our Building Committee.

In other news, the Building Committee selected Spaw Glass as the general contractor for our project. They were chosen from a field of highly qualified candidates for this project.

The Committee had a difficult time deciding which of the quality contractors to choose, and decided upon SpawGlass after reviewing their experience in renovations to the State Capitol, as well as their strength in our community. The Committee is excited to have them join our team.
