Rededicate Yourself as a Teacher

 

In  this week and next week’s Dor L’Dor, I will be including some articles for a monthly magazine called, Educational Leadership.  Please  take time to read and learn from them, I would not have included them if  I didn’t think that you would find them  useful.   Think about your year thus far.   How have you  invited your students to learn and how have you made their Jewish education special and  memorable.

Well, the rumors are true, I paid up my $5.00 to Martha because I lost the bet.  We will not be moving  back to the Temple for classes until the 15^th of January.  That  will be our first Wednesday classes held in the actual building.  This means that our first Sunday will be January 19^th.  Not only will this be our first Sunday, but there will be 250 teenagers at our synagogue, all of your ma’aseh will be gone, attending a NFTY event, and we will be having a famous musician Peri Smilow  coming to perform and work with some of the classes. Unpacking Day January 12^th, 2003

 

All teachers will be at Religious School at the Temple on Sunday January 12^th, 2003.  This is a mandatory day.  We will have a teacher in-service and we will be unpacking boxes and you will be setting up your classrooms.  There will be no students on this day, childcare will be provided.
