WOW, what an incredible job Tzadikim did Tuesday evening during the Dessert Seder! ! Hats off to Rachelle Mann, Vicki Garcia, Matthew Heins, Caitlin Smith, and Gayle Fish, as well as to all the Tzadikimers that did a great job entertaining. For those of you that missed a wonderful performance, the second graders danced the plagues and sang several songs. They even had the audience participating. Teachers sometimes measure success by the parents, and if that is the case, the pictures being taken were a great indicator as to how thrilled and proud our Tzadikim parents were to see their children’s hard work paying off. Again, awesome job to all ! ! !

You all have Tzedakah boxes in your classrooms given to us by the Israeli Red Cross. Supporting Israel's Emergency, Medical, Health, Blood and Disaster Services, Magen David Adom (MDA) is Israel’s National Emergency Medical Service (EMS), with over 650 emergency ambulances in operation, providing 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year emergency ambulance and coronary rescue services to all Israel hospitals.
The money will be collected by you and counted once a month, and then brought to Martha on the last Sunday of each month. You will be given an envelope once a month. You should put a student in charge of counting the money and maybe keep track of the amount you’ve raised. Have the students do research on the organizations you’ve chosen. Make righteous acts about more than just blindly giving money.
From 8:15 to 8:45, any teacher or ma’aseh who chooses to strengthen their Judaic knowledge and community amongst the teachers and ma’aseh may come and join us for learning, conversations and lesson planning. This program is completely on a volunteer basis. It is to strengthen our teaching community and to expand our knowledge of Judaism and ourselves.

Progress Reports will be coming to you Sunday, April 27th . Please have them completed by Sunday, May 11th. The goal of the Progress Report is not only to inform the parents of their child’s behavior in class, but also to inform the parents of what is being taught in class and what their child’s specific Judaic interests happen to be. Please be honest, constructive and informative. Nothing should come as a surprise to the Parents. Contact them by phone now if you need to so that the report card is not a surprise. For suggestions on how to phrase your comments please, call me, email me or visit this website: http://www.teachnet.com/how-to/endofyear/personalcomments061400.html
