For the Safety of our Children – ALL OF THEM!

This is a reminder to all families of our student dismissal policies:

STANDARD SUNDAY MORNING DISMISSAL GUIDELINES

Students in Bonim (Kindergarten) and First Grade classes must be picked up by an adult at the classroom doors.

Students in grades 2 or higher may be picked up by older siblings or meet siblings and parents at the carpool line or in the Oppenheimer Lobby.

EARLY DISMISSAL POLICY for students who need to leave classes prior to the official end of class time. This procedure is implemented for two reasons:

Should an emergency arise, we know who is in the building.

We know who has official supervision of the child, and do not release a child to an unauthorized individual.

STEPS FOR EARLY DISMISSAL:

1. Please send a written note with your student giving the time the student needs to be dismissed from class and the name of the adult who will be picking up the student.

2. Either the student or parent needs to present the note to Sara Planto, Religious School Secretary, to receive an official early release note. Sara sits at the front receptionist desk in the Oppenheimer Lobby on Sundays, in the front office of the EKA on Tuesdays, and at her desk in the rabbinic/education suite on Wednesdays.

3. When you arrive to pick up the student, a parent, or the person authorized in the note, must present a photo I.D. and sign the attendance notebook at Sara’s desk (see above locations) prior to the student’s leaving the building. A classroom ma’aseh will escort your student to Sara’s desk.
