Armed Forces Shabbat

Sarah Chen will speak on “Our Top Ten Most Hilarious Moments Raising Our Jewish Military Family.” Military personnel, both past and current, will be offered a special blessing during this service. Sarah Chen feels positively star crossed in luck to have circled back to Temple Beth-El, where she taught Sunday School during her fi nal years at Trinity University. Since then, she and her husband, Carl, have relocated nine times with his Air Force career. They have three children who they feel lucky to send to Religious School at Temple Beth-El. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Chinese, a Masters degree in Public Affairs and has worn many hats along their military journey: university administrator, data analyst, writer, nonprofit director and, most recently, project manager. The journey continues!
