Ava DuVernay’s Oscar-nominated documentary provides a thought-provoking look at the criminalization of African Americans and the U.S. prison boom. Featuring interviews from scholars, activists, and politicians.

Prior registration is required.  The discussion will be facilitated by Linda Reifberg. Linda Riefberg joined the Innocence Project as In House Counsel in July 2016. She is responsible for the internal policies and procedures for the organization and handles lobbying registration and reporting, trademark enforcement, and not for profit compliance program. Prior to joining the Innocence Project, Ms. Riefberg spent her career in Securities Regulation, first as a regulator at the New York Stock Exchange and FINRA where she was the Chief Counsel of the Enforcement Department, and later working as a defense counsel at the law firms of Fried Frank and Cozen O’Connor. She graduated from Binghamton University, where she was Phi Beta Kappa, and New York University School of Law, where she was on the Journal of Internal Law and Politics.
