The Social Action Committee will be holding their bi-annual Social Action Potluck on Saturday, May 2 at 12:00pm. This panel will primarily focus on the issues of voter rights, voter suppression, and civic engagement and will feature speakers from the League of Women Voters, Education Voter Rights Initiative (EVRI), and Antioch Baptist Church.
Much of the conversation will be centered on the documentary “Suppressed: The Fight to Vote”. It is strongly encouraged that you view the film ahead of time and you can do so, for free, through https://tinyurl.com/tbefight2vote.
Go to https://tinyurl.com/tbesacvotingrights to register for this virtual discussion taking place via Zoom call. If you don’t have a computer or smart phone, any type of phone device will work. Although we will not be serving food, please consider joining this “potluck” by bringing your lunch.
