Did you know that currently there are over 313,000 victims of human trafficking in San Antonio, with 79,000 being minors? That San Antonio, along with Houston and Dallas, is part of a triangular bed of human trafficking? Or that 80% of all human trafficking victims in Bexar County are children?

Join Temple Beth-El as we welcome Karen Ryan from Ransomed Life for a presentation on human trafficking on Thursday, March 26 at 7:00 PM. This NEFESH sponsored event, will have Ms. Ryan presenting on this important issue, how it effects Texas, San Antonio, and our community, and what can be done to stop it.

What is Ransomed Life?

“Ransomed Life exists to care for survivors, victims, and the ‘at-risk’ of commercial sexual exploitation of minors. Our vision is to see every exploited youth redeemed and restored. The abuse has taken place in the context of relationships and we believe that healing will also come from relationships and we believe that healing will also come from relationships. Each bond formed between the girl and our volunteers are mutually transforming. Not only is it impacting the lives of the girls, but also the lives of each volunteer. We accomplish restoration through: Mentoring, Counseling, and Community Engagement.” You can learn more about Ransomed Life by visiting their website.
