Event Details

Rosh Hodesh, the celebration of the new moon, has long been a holiday reserved for women. Join us monthly at Temple for social connections and spiritual inspiration. The Rabbis and Cantor, along with some participants will lead a discussion based on the book Listen to Her Voice: Women of the Hebrew Bible by Miki Raver, and light refreshments will be provided. If you would like to purchase the book you can buy a used copy from Amazon at https://tinyurl.com/ RH-HerVoice or directly from the author’s website at https://www.listentohervoice. com/shop-online/she-is-wisdom. Also, the San Antonio Public Library and the Bendiner Library at Temple has a copy.

This month Bobbi Thami, a regular participant in our Rosh Hodesh study, will lead a discussion about Judaism and Animal Ethics. What do the Torah and Talmud say about animals? Are they concerned with the ethical treatment of animals? And what does this mean in today’s world? Please RSVP at tinyurl.com/tbe-rhodesh so that we can plan appropriately.
