Born and raised in San Antonio, Dollie (she/her) has been known to many as the face of Temple Beth-El since she started in 2012. After working at Temple Beth-El at the front desk and later as an administrative assistant and now as the executive assistant to the Senior Rabbi, Dollie fell in love with Judaism, the social justice Temple takes part in and the people here at Temple and decided to convert in 2018.
If you don’t see Dollie up front ready to greet you, you can find her answering the phones, meeting with potential members, working with members and connecting them to the clergy, taking care of any and all events and logistics, coordinating Temple’s involvement with non-profits such as Planned Parenthood and meals on wheels, working with senior programming and doing so many other things that help allow Temple to run as smoothly as it does. As much as she loves her day-to-day responsibilities, Dollie loves baking and cooking with the ladies in the kitchen, helping with the summer camp and creating connections with the kids as they grow from summer to summer, and also loves helping with the summer food program here at Temple.
When Dollie isn’t busy running around Temple and making sure everything is in order, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling and spending time with her husband, 3 children and grandchildren.
