Youth Engagement

At Temple Beth-El, we are proud to nurture and inspire our Jewish youth through meaningful programs that strengthen identity, community, and connection to Jewish life.

Family Friendly Shabbat

Join us for a joyful and engaging Shabbat experience designed especially for families with children ages 0–7! Our Family-Friendly Shabbats are one-hour programs that begin with a warm, musical service in the Oppenheimer Chapel, complete with shakers, plush Torahs, and plenty of singing. After the service, enjoy a light breakfast while your little ones take part in a fun, hands-on craft activity. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate Shabbat together in a welcoming and spirited environment that’s perfect for young families.

Say goodbye to Shabbat in a playful and meaningful way at our Tot Havdalah gatherings, designed for families with children ages 0–7! These joyful, hour-long programs feature music, movement, and a short, interactive Havdalah ceremony. Families will enjoy singing together, listening to a sweet story, and creating a themed craft that connects to Jewish holidays or values. It’s a warm and welcoming way to end Shabbat and build Jewish memories with your little ones.

Childcare Services

Temple Beth-El offers babysitting for children from infants through 2nd grade during services, providing a safe and nurturing environment while parents attend worship. We encourage children in 3rd grade and up to join their families in the sanctuary and be part of the service experience.

All children participating in babysitting must be registered in advance to ensure proper supervision and care.
